Boomers wealthiest generation in the USA

BabyBoomer magazine, USABaby Boomer magazine reports that in the USA, Boomers are 28% of the population, and have a significant influence on the politics and ecomomics of the United States.  They have become the single largest economic group in the USA today.

Baby Boomers:

  • Have more discretionary income (wealth) than any other age group
  • Control 70% if the total net worth of American households – $US$7 trillion of wealth
  • Own 80% of all money in savings and loan associations
  • Spend more money disproportionately to their numbers
  • Plan on travelling more regularly over the next five years
  • Are not fanatically loyal to brands
  • Watch television more than other age groups
  • Read newspapers more than any other age group

And, Baby Boomers are STILL the largest consumer group in America –  even in the Recession
