High-Level International Seminar on Accessible Tourism for Tourist Boards and DMOs

 ENAT

The European Network for Accessible Tourism (ENAT) is running a two day seminar in Brussels 16-17 May for tourism boards and Destination Management Organisations that are spearheading the development of accessible tourism. ENAT is a project-based initiative of nine sponsoring organisations in six EU Member States. The European Commission, DG Employment and Social Affairs, gave financial support to the Network for the first two years of operations.  The aim of the seminar is to give added impetus to those Tourist Boards and DMOs that are spearheading the development of accessible tourism, helping them to develop their business, role and reputation as sector leaders, whether this is regionally, nationally or internationally. The seminar will deliver in-depth knowledge to every participant and encourage open discussion and development of new ideas. Topics covered will include Accessible Tourism challenges and opportunities, review of “best practices”, tools and methods, and the presentation of a proposal for Accessible Tourism Development (Targets, Strategies and Actions).  An ENAT “Special Interest Group” for Tourist Boards and DMOs may be formed if the participants wish to develop common actions or exchange information through a common platform.

The Seminar will be held at the premises of the host organization, Tourism Flanders, Grasmarkt, (off Grand Place), Brussels, Belgium.
